Jeff Teague Criticizes A’ja Wilson’s Assertion of Beating Josh Hart One-on-One

In a conversation with the Knicks’ Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson, A’ja Wilson was asked if she could beat Hart in a one-on-one matchup. The two-time WNBA champion definitively responded that she would defeat the Knicks win 11-8, which drew a snickered response from Hart of “not happening.”

The question was the posed to Hart and he said the score would be 11-2, drawing a “you’re sick” from Wilson, who was clearly perturbed by Hart’s prediction. He walked it back to appease Wilson rescoring the hypothetical matchup 11-7.

Former NBA player Jeff Teague said Wilson would not defeat Hart or any other NBA playerin a one-on-one game. He went further and said the three time WNBA MVP would not beat anyone in the G-league or college.

While some branded his comments as “controversial”, the fact of the matter is that his comments are accurate. We here at sneakershoptalk are a huge A’ja Wilson house and we covered the WNBA before it became trendy, but she would be hopelessly outgunned against Josh Hart and every other NBA player. As talented as she is, she would not have a snowball’s chance in Hades against top-end players and it would be a very long day at the office against the lower-tiered players.

Pointing this out is in no way a slight in any way against A’ja Wilson it is merely a point of fact. Other outlets may be afraid to admit this obvious truth, but we are not one of them. We don’t cow-tow to feelings at the expense of truth
